ISMISS Congress in Turkey on Minimal Invasive Spine Surgery and Interventional Treatments

It is our great pleasure and honor to invite you to the 4th ISMISS Congress in Turkey on Minimal Invasive Spine Surgery and Interventional Treatments which will be held at WOW Topkapi Palace Hotel, Antalya/Lara between the dates April 01-03, 2011.
This congress will be a global gathering of more than 300 participants and will provide a chance to socialize, establish networks with colleagues from different parts of the world and create an environment through which we can exchange our knowledge and experiences. It will also be a very good opportunity for young colleagues to meet with pioneers in this field.
The congress will last three days, and there will be a hands-on cadaver course workshop, plenary presentations, parallel sessions, oral and poster presentations during the congress. It is our intention to make this congress an event that combines high quality scientific content with the opportunity to meet in an important historical venue. Antalya is now one of the world’s preferential meeting destination, with the many international charter and scheduled flight alternatives as well as high accommodation and event capacity. Together with a satisfactory scientific programme which is going to be realized with the cooperation of the scientific committee, the participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy at Turkish Riviera.

Maine Orthopaedic Review

The Maine Orthopaedic Review Course has provided continuing orthopaedic education for over 40 years. The course presents a unique opportunity for study and review for residents, board candidates, and practicing orthopaedists looking toward recertification. The course is a comprehensive review with strong sections in pediatric orthopaedics, trauma, bone tumors, metabolic bone disease, and pathology. There will be case reviews including x-rays and pathology slides; some mock oral exams are provided. The rural campus of Colby College offers an ideal atmosphere for study and recreation. Spend two weeks with us in Maine this June and July! The Review begins with registration on Sunday, June 17th. Classes are held daily from Monday, June 18th to Thursday, June 28th, except Sunday, June 24th, which is free. Morning classes generally run from 7:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the afternoon classes from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. There is a half hour coffee break each morning and generally a 15 minute break in the afternoon.

National Trauma Institute Annual Trauma Symposium

NTI will not be holding a trauma symposium in 2011. The next NTI trauma meeting will be held in May 2012 in San Antonio. Further details can be found at this site closer to the meeting date.
The 2010 Annual Trauma Symposium, held August 30-September 1 in San Antonio, Texas, included plenary sessions on provider resiliency, PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and resuscitation. More than 80 research-based lectures covered trauma critical care, trauma nursing, anesthesiology, orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery and more.
This annual event is an opportunity for providers to earn continuing medical and nursing education credits, keeping them abreast of the latest innovations in care. The Annual Trauma Symposium takes into account the multi-disciplinary nature of trauma care and the components of trauma systems; presentations include clinical and basic science, management guidelines and outcomes. It is NTI’s unique blend of military and civilian speakers and topics that makes its Annual Symposium unlike any other medical conference in the country.
The National Trauma Institute's Annual Symposium takes into account the multi-disciplinary nature of trauma care and the components of trauma systems and includes more than 100 presentations on clinical and basic science, management guidelines and outcomes. Our program this year will include topics/sessions such as: PTSD, Provider Resiliency, Traumatic Brain Injury, Resuscitation, Trauma Research, Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Trauma Critical Care, Trauma Nursing, Craniofacial Trauma, Ophthalmology Orthopedic Trauma and Burn Surgery.
