Belgian Hand Group
Archive Copy 2003: The Belgian Hand Group is a scientific organization for the study of the hand:
its function, pathology and the treatment of injuries and diseases.
The Belgian Hand Group is open for all health workers, physicians
and researchers interested in the hand.
Bone and Joint Decade
The goal for the Bone and Joint Decade is to improve the health- related quality of life for people with musculo-skeletal disorders throughout the world. The Bone and Joint Decade will do this through the following aims: To reduce the social and financial cost of musculo-skeletal disorders to society, To improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment for all patients, To advance research on prevention and treatment
To empower patients to make decisions about their care
No single organisation alone can accomplish the desired benefits for the patient. The Bone and Joint Decade is a multi-disciplinary initiative involving everyone concerned with the care of bone and joint disorders.
Bones
1) promote the professional development of the orthopaedic practice administrator through educational and research programs and peer interaction, 2)provide an organizational structure that is responsive to and supportive of the needs of the orthopaedic practice administrator, 3)advocate for the concerns and ideas of the members on health care related issues 4)and
establish BONES as the primary resource to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and other orthopaedic specialty societies for orthopaedic practice management information.
British Wheelchair Sports Foundation
The British Wheelchair Sports Foundation is the national organisation for wheelchair sport in the UK and exists to provide, promote and develop opportunities for men, women and children with disabilities to participate in recreational and competitive wheelchair sport.
